Take time to watch this movie… It will blow your socks off…
Today I consider what really matters in my life…. and how to cherish that by sustaining the future of our planet.
We can’t keep living in the dark and being ignorant…
Reaching for the stars
Previously I have written about my goal to complete the Copenhagen Challenge Ironman challenge in August 2010, but as of today I am stepping down from that goal and working on other projects.
The reason behind this decision is due to the preparation time to be put into the race, before it starts is conflicting with life as such. Doing the Ironman is a cool thing and what hooked me is the training towards the goal, having something that was intimidating enough to get me rolling in the right direction. Atlas it takes a lot of time training for this kind of event, especially if I want to do better than the last time in 1999 when I became Ironman.
Being a full time student, going on to my master thesis any moment now, a father to my son and a husband to my wife who also studies takes time. Training for the Ironman takes time away from these areas, which I have committed to do my best in, so I am therefore stepping momentarily of the Ironman 2010 challenge. I might take it up in the future but for now I am going to focus on being the best student, father and husband I can be and not the super ego, that training for the challenge takes.
This has little to non effect on you, so keep pushing and pursuing… I don’t consider this a loss, since the gains are far greater than another time, finishing photo and t-shirt and the window is still open.
Have a great day, hope to see you in the saddle
All the best,
//Kris
Your thinking will determine what you can do today… don’t tell yourself what you can’t do… go all out and push back… as hard as you can and for as long as it takes… No matter what, eat the pain and keep putting one foot in front of the other…
Leave your stinkin’ thinking and step up… don’t ask why… ask why not…
Have an awesome day and give me yourself your absolute best!
All the best

check out www.mai-friskvard.se and join us Saturday the 24th Oktober 09…
I will have a spinning class at 15.00 and welcome everybody, rookie or master rider to participate in 60 min of pumping music and smiling sweaty bodies.
Come join the fight against Cancer
Once again I had the privilege of being invited to Slangerup for their annual 12 hour charity event. This year the money went to a local group Slanki that aims to rebuild and renovate the local sports arena. I am currently not aware of the precise amount of money driven in by the more than 70 spinners, but if Im not mistaken it was close to 100.000 dkk… WHICH IS AWESOME!
I am proud of having been a part of the event and I just want to thank Peter for inviting me and for fixing my shoe 2 min before I had to go on stage… apparently I had lost a cleat and was therefore in a predicament with regards to teaching… but it all worked out and the riders got a good 50 min of climbing… not something that they seemed to pleased with at the moment, but I think it went down ok and judging by the response after the class I would say that people in general were satisfied, so all in all a good ride.
The theme of the class took a point of departure in Team Hoyt and how Dick and Rick have become legends within the IRONMAN community… and also outside… I really want to stress that we as humans can accomplish so much more than we think and that we just need to paddle through the pain and bullshit excuses (Pardon my language) that we instill in our minds… We are stronger, slimmer and better looking, faster and greater than some parts of our inner voice gives us credit for. We need to shut out that part of our inner dialogue and find the inner warrior, step up to the challenge and set goals that scare us so that we can pursue worthy victories and triumph with joy and the feeling of YES…. I DID IT!….
Tonight I had the great pleasure of chatting with a man who in a year has lost 40 kg plus and has just run a 100 km run, just to prove to himself that he could do it… What a guy. I know some will say that he had great coaching and that he was lucky … and all kinds of things, BUT!!! he is the guy… THE GUY! who fought through all the pain, all the fear of changing and all the challenges of transforming from who you were to who you became… He is the one that put one foot in front of the other, kept pushing and did not give up until he reached (and this is important)… HIS GOAL!
What are you aiming for… going after… pursuing… if you don’t know, how will you know when you get it? I was so inspired and humbled by talking to this man and feeling his down to earth approach to life that I could feel his story rub of on me and inspire me even more than by just following him on TV.
While changing, showering and what not, the discussion in the locker room was also on Team Hoyt, but also on other events and individuals. I talked to a man 56 years of age who had done 15000 km since new year on his road bike… I can’t say anything but WOW… that is a lot of hours in the saddle pushing the pedals. Some might ask why. Some might say get a life. some might … what ever… coodos to the guy who does is because he can…. because he likes it…. because he LOVES IT…
I love this quote, and together with the foundation from today… I CAN, I leave for bed with Tony Robbins:
LIVE WITH PASSION!
I wish you all the best!

Well today I rode with www.klubbencyklisten.nu from Malmö to Helsingborg where we parted. I joined forces with a couple of riders from Copenhagen and rode down to Kastrup where my wingman and myself borded the train to take us across the water… so what has gone on today. Well it was Øresund rundt on a fabulous day. It has been a very long time since I have been on the road which was felt in the legs and in the comments on my wardrobe… well at least I got some street credit for the ancientness in the jacket… LOL… All in all a great day and a confirmation that, although Spinning is supposed to resemble road biking… it is far from it.
I will for sure add some more interval training into my classes and se how that will fly with the eager beavers pushing the pedals…
Now it is off to bed and tomorrow start the final preparation for the closing of the 12 spinning event in Slagerup on saturday…
Have a great week all..
//K
So when the time comes to leave the bike after 180 km I want to start the race… and finnish strong, happy and although in pain…. EMPOWERED!
Time for sleep!…. it is highly underrated!
Have a great week, keep pushing and PUSH BACK… don’t be pushed… you be the pusher… and keep on putting one foot in front of the other…!

Structure has come into my training and slow progression on the run is taking place… It feels great and Im stoked. Last week I had a talk with a Swedish producer of a supplement for training which might become available to you here, if all goes as planned. All I can say at the moment is that this product helped me through previous hard training and was also what I used in 1999 when I completed my first ironman…
More to come on this so stay tuned.
In closing… I just tried compression socks for running last night and that was FANTASTIC… more input once I get some more km in the legs… Tonights SPINNING at MAI Malmö will be tough and 70 min… we will cruise the flats with resistance and high cadence and push over a mountain of pain in the form of hills… come happy and prepared! Everyone can join and will benefit from the class.
See you, or not… but have a great day!
All the best

Today I am feeling nervous thinking about the road ahead… not because I doubt myself or that I question whether or not I will finnish the race… NO… In my mind I have already seen myself cross the finnish line, in my heart I have felt the feeling of that moment thinking yes I did it.
What makes me nervous is the running, the path towards that goal… the pain and the discipline that I have chosen to commit to and endure… for that I will use all the mental boosts that I can get.
I know there is pain headed my way in buckets, piles and truckloads so todays inspiration comes from Mr. Balboa himself. Rocky say’s “The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.” ”You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life.”
“But it ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.”
“How much you can take, and keep moving forward.?”
“you have got to be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards and losers do that and that ain’t you. You’re better than that!”
So to calm my nervousness I will seek training, try to remain humble and take small steps every day towards my goal… resting before the final battle.
I wish that you’ll try to be all that you can be and that your day from this moment on will be awesome and at your disposal!
Go out and immerse yourself in the thick of life, love the head wind the rain and especially the hills, keep pushing, for soon you will find yourself at the top of your mountain and conquer the moment with a big YES!

I believe-
that no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I believe-
that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
I believe-
that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
I believe-
that it’s taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I believe-
that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I believe-
that you can keep going long after you can’t.
I believe-
that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I believe-
that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I believe-
that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.
I believe-
that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I believe-
that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I believe-
that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
I believe-
that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re down, will be the ones to help you get back up.
I believe-
that sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.
I believe-
that just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.
I believe-
that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.
I believe-
that it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I believe-
that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn’t stop for your grief.
I believe-
that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I believe-
that just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other And just because they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do.
I believe-
that you shouldn’t be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
I believe-
that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
I believe-
that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don’t even know you.
I believe-
that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I believe-
that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I believe-
that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.
